💉 In-Character Information ✘ ABILITIES / PHYSICAL: As the result of uninformed experimentation conducted on her as a teenager, Jess possesses enhanced strength, durability and speed. She can lift the back end of a car with relative ease, run a mile in under four minutes, and take nothing more than a couple bruised ribs away from being hit by a food truck. She also heals a bit faster than regular humans but her wounds still scar and she's definitively not bulletproof. Jessica has no formal training in self-defense or combat, relying fully on endurance and power to get the job done when situations call for violence. ✘ ABILITIES / MENTAL: By the end of season one, Jess has a vaguely-defined imperviousness to Kilgrave's mental manipulation. This appears to function the same as a vaccination grants an immunity to disease, as Kilgrave's ability spreads virally and he subjected her to months of exposure. Attempts to enhance the ability's strength and duration have no effect. Her resilience most likely does not extend to other forms and origins of telepathy and coercion, and does not exist prior to series start. Cognitive trespassers will be treated with hostility for negative CR. ✘ TRIGGERS: Jessica's diagnosed PTSD is shown to manifest in nightmares, insomnia, flashbacks (less frequent by season end), paranoia, panic attacks, infrequent suicide contemplation and her dependency on alcohol. Known triggers include: licking her, hotel rooms, all physical contact from Kilgrave and Kilgrave himself. She also has unresolved automobile trauma from the accident that killed her family, burdening her with survivor's guilt and avoidant behaviour.
